You can find all XP drivers at HP’s website, simply choose your OS (there might be problems with XP pro, so you should try to get Tablet PC edition somewhere, or simply go for Vista (real slow) or Win7 (quicker than XP) Drivers: h20000.www2.hp.com

@TheJerichov hi. You can only use 32 bit system, because CPU does not support 64 bit. And the burning part, you have to burn at special settings and at lowest possible speed, otherwise data gets corrupted, thats why you should use only USB thumb stick. I wasted 2 DVDs even with right settings, so it’s a costly gamble
hi again .i am trying to place windows 7 ultimate from a dvd (i burn the iso file to a dvd form but still nothing!!!) do you know why???also the hp tc 1100 needs the 32or 64 bit edition ???thank you
@TheJerichov
Hi, you need windows 7 Ultimate for stylus pen to work
No, there is no MS office included, you will have to get it yourself
no, notes can not be saved to a word file. You can use NotePad or WordPad to save your text as *.txt or *.rtf and those can be later opened with MSoffice.
I would advise you to use Open Office, it’s opensource clone of MS Office, thus that means it’s completely free.
Excellent luck
hi so if we install win 7 the pen will not work at all???because i just order one hp tc1100 i have one more question the tablet has word?microsoft office?and if it has you can write with the pen and save your notes as a word file?thank you in advance
@raymix1 yea it really was a fucken annoyance. i nearly finished up passing up wiin 7 and going back to xp. i mean xp was dope, it never gave me problems unlike freakin vista. but win 7 is really ok so far. hope this helps out people. peace out!!
@rockbutt123 haha, thats really small annoyance, isn’t it, who could have guessed that
Glad you sorted that out, it’s really excellent machine and batteries holds really excellent. Also i would advise turing down CPU to 20-30% in power options, not alot of difference in speed, but makes it alot quieter and less heating. Cheers!
@AsunAllah hey dude, i finally got the wifi to work, if you press F10 when you first boot the computer and go into the BIOS, you can find the device options menu and enable the wifi device, THATS ALL!!! and now my wifi works. phew!!! i was gonna install xp on it instead of 7. glad i found this out. i hope this helps others with this type of tablet. peace out youtubers!!!
ill try installing win 7 again and see if the wifi works but if not ill go back to win xp. hopefully that will fix the wifi
@AsunAllah yea dude, after i installed win 7 from usb i found everything worked EXCEPT the wifi. i even went to the hp site and found the tablet pc 1100 drivers page and installed every driver for network and still nothing. did you find a solution dude? thanks
@delukard hi delukard, no, only very ancient stylus back in days used batteries, these are not using them, but, there is an acid and graphite inside the pen as well as small electronic PCB board. So it kind of uses some energy, maybe only to improve pointing quality. The way tablets work is it uses microscopic electro matrix grid that does some kind of electric wave and stylus material reflects it,thats how it reads it. And someone noted that stylus socket in tablet charges pen too,not sure 100%
@raymix1 Thanks for the help, i got an hp pen on ebay, some one on another site recommended that pen to me, but if i know it correctly is that the OEM doesn’t use a battery so why does it need to be charged?
@delukard i guess the best bet is on ebay, they goes for 40EUR atm, that is expensive, but other pens should work manufactered by HP, but what renders them useless is they won’t fit in a slot, thus will not charge – and yes they really kind of charges in that slot
Does anyone know what pen can i buy for this tablet? and where?.
I have this tablet but i lost the pen. and the oem one is to expensive
. thanks! for your help
thinking of buying one of theese
Hi, you can find all drivers for win7 in Info tab on right next to profile, incompatible XP drivers will work like a charm.
As for Linux, go for ubuntu 9.10 and up, they magically have nearly full support for tc1100, except card reader, everything works like a charm. You can find videos of me using ubuntu on it in my profile and see for yourself
i am trying windows 7 on my tc1100 but where do i find the drivers for the network controllers. according to hp’s website the tc1100 isn’t compatible with 7. im thinking about using ubuntu but im pretty sure it would be impossible to find the right software for the stylus for linux. i’d appreciate any advice.
raymix1, Keep up the video uploads.
for SD cards they suppose to be recognized automaticly, as driver is installed within BIOS. But! This one only supports cards up to 1GB only, anything over 1GB will not be recognized unfortunately
im having problems with SD memory recognition after windows 7 installation.did u have any problems?where to find drivers for windows 7…i checked HP site but didnt find any….
hi, it was 1GB as far as i recall
Excellent tutorial, thanks. How much ram did you have installed for that installation ?
thanks!i got the wifi working.i needed to download new drivers from the official site.
Hi Sogey
wLAN and LAN drivers should install automaticly
go to Start > Control Panel > Under Network and Internet press “View Network status and tasks” > now on left side find ” Change Adapter settings” > and tell me how many devices do you see there. You should have 3 – LAN, WLAN and Bluetooth
hi,i followed your instructions but how to get internet connected?i tried and tried but to no avail..
hey, nop i didn’t since, “kind of behind the scenes” i had 60 of them to be repaired at ancient work, which means i really do not own one, but thought i’d place something on for an update
