@oztabletpc
yep just saw that you have vids for le1700
Thanks for the tip.
@eggfinallap That was really an LE1700, but yes the LE1600 has a Wacom Penabled Digitizer, the same as the M700 does. So you may have to download the Wacom driver, but it definately has pressure sensitivity.
wow is that a motion computer you have back there? le1600? That’s amusing, I’m trying to choose between that and the m7 which is why I’m watching this. If the le1600 has pressure sensitivity I might get it, but it’s unclear. Some people certainly have it on their le1600, dunno why a few claim not to have it. What I like about m7 though… keyboard.
OMG! I HAVE ONE!
Huge difference in cost and quality.
@muffinproject I assume by less accurate you are referring to 256 degrees of pressure sensitivity – as apposed to 1024 on the Cintiq? Yes most people can’t tell the difference, it is very subtle. What most crossover users notice is the lack of additional features like tilt sensitivity. As far as pen accuracy goes it is the same pixel for pixel.
Yes, the bundled software is a huge downside of most large manufacturers. One notable exception is Motion Computing who bundle nothing .
@ZOMGAPOTATO
Yeah, it has a wacom penabled screen
not as accurate as a cintiq or intuos, but unless you use those on a daily basis you won’t even notice a difference.
The only downside on the otherwise awesome portege series, is that it comes with a bunch of software installed that you don’t need.
Yes you can. Many designs use a tablet pc to work while mobile.
It completely depends on how you intend to use it. If you are a designer sitting at a desk all day then a Cintiq is the way to go for sure. Using an Intuos on the other hand is much harder than writing or drawing directly on the screen. And of course neither of those solutions are mobile at all!
If you are a mobile worker, then working with a tablet pc is very handy indeed! We never recommend anything until we know what people need to do…
holy, i thought it was some other tablet pc and when u held it up i was like “OMG, thats my computer, lol”
wow thats incredible how you turn the screen around..
Can you draw/paint on it?
Can anyone compare this one with HP Touchsmart Tx2z Laptop-Tablet?
the tx2500 is pretty excellent for the money
AMD ATHOLON X2 64bit
@2.0 ghz
4 gigs
ATI HD3200
280gb hdd
tablet works like a charm
and has incredible performance
check out the benchmarks
cs4 runs like a charm
$900
I would not recommend it. First of all I prefer the Wacom Cintiq 21UX. Use it my self like it! But if you are looking for something more cheaper I should go with the Wacom Intuos.
If I where you I should reckon again. A tablet pc is cool because you can walk around with it and maybe use it as a portfolio like I do sometime. But working with it not so handy at all.
awesome! thanks
more and more the toshiba looks like the right one
so ill most likely go with it
thanks again
Yes it has both.
Either will work well with Photoshop or Sketchbook Pro as they both use a Wacom digitiser.
The Fujitsu is a excellent performer, the Toshiba is brilliant too and a bit cheaper.
I would reccomend both…
im trying to choose between the M750 or the Fujitsu 5010, probebly the toshiba lower price. would anyone suggest this for Photoshop/sketchbook pro artists?
im getting a tablet pc for school and the tx2500 has the price but this has the features and i want it so terrible but its 1700 dollars with everything i need
Does it have a built in microphone and camera?
i got the m700 about 8 months ago, and it is cool man,
i use it for school everyday
Awesome! I’m getting it for high school in less than a month!
haha i just got this laptop today for school
