No, this is perfect as a portable. It's really light weight and it IS the computer, so you can carry it around anywhere. I use to try to take my laptop and Wacom tablet with me, but it took up so much room and was kind of awkward. This, though, is the size of a sketchbook and very easy to carry around.

I would very much recommend the ModBook if you need portability!

This sucks I am only 14 and these things are so freaking expensive, I mean i have to deal with gimp right now instead of photoshop.
Would a tablet like the Wacom bamboo work just as good because its pretty cheap, I can get one for $69. The only problem is that I have seen that the image doesnt show up on the tablet you can only see what your doing on the pc screen, I just need to know if one of these is any good.

Get whatever you can get, dude! But, I would suggest that despite your age, you can make amazing things happen. I grew up poor, very poor, but I still managed to get up enough money to buy my first computer w/ accessories (which costs $5000 at the time) when I was 17. Getting the Modbook for $1500 should be pretty easy comparatively. Mow some lawns. Get a paper route. If you really want it, ,make it happen!

In the meantime, get that Bamboo. I don't know much about it, but that's a great price.

Hard to tell in the video, Is there a delay when drawing before it actually shows up on the screen. Looks like there might be, but again hard to tell.
