Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook Review – Geek4travel.com
www.geek4travel.com – As always Im looking for fantastic travel gadgets and for me the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook is a fantastic item for taking on the road. The days are long gone since you had to have the hassle of a 15 inch thick laptop to lug around, now you can nicely fit this gorgeous 10.1 inch netbook into your day sack and take it wherever you go! Even though this small black beauty is very small, it doesnt feel delicate or flimsy. It feels tight and solid, nearly like if you were to drop it then it wouldnt do to much hurt, I havent tried this though and dont recommend you do either. Looking around the laptop you immediately notice there is no CD Rom but this is not that vital as you can buy an external CD Rom and of course you can transfer data on to the netbook via a memory stick. On the left hand side you have a connection for the power supply, a USB port and a card reader slot. On the right hand side is an Ethernet slot, Two more USB ports as well as a HDMI port and finally Two slots for a microphone and headphones. Just above the 10.1 inch screen is a built in webcam and microphone which is fantastic for the talking over the internet on Skype and MSN etc. One concern of mine was the size of the keyboard and the difficulties this may cause for typing but the keyboard is a fantastic size and I have had no problems typing except for the normal mistakes that I make whilst spelling. The specs are not that terrible either, 1.33GHz, 1GB Memory, 160GB Hard Drive, Built in …

I just bought one for my mother… She’s a beginner and I felt Dell Mini had it more than even some huge notebooks…
@HockeySniper11 I would suggest Windows XP.
Nice video !
Would you recommend Windows 7 or Windows XP? Please get back to me rosstcorbett.
Thanks.
@crimsure – the built in Mic is excellent, take a look at the video response above.

thank you, i just bought one for 286$ brand spanking new 2010. did i get a excellent deal you reckon? thank you again
Fantastic video but just one question in normal use (web browsing and document transfer) how long will the battery last. Dell verbally say 1 to 1.5 hours but the literature says 9.5 hours (on standby – unwritten). So do you know what the actual/practical right answer is ?
any movie you want
BTW is it not Window 7?
i am gonna get that one soon
