i just wanted to say ur 100% right because my friend had a house party and every 1 was drinking.
some one spilt ALCOHOL over the screen and the laptop was just recked then.he had to go and buy a hold new laptop.
That was the WORST way to clean an LCD screen. First terrible thing he did, he left the laptop ON, he didn’t use even a light screen cleaner and he just tipped the screen.

he’s right to not spray the screen but the actual best way is to use a liquid screen cleaner on a really soft cloth before wiping it down. Or just use a simple equal mix of normal rubbing alcohol you can get from the dollar store and water. Rub it down with a dry cloth again after using the wet cloth to prevent streaks instead of letting it dry by itself.
