Flat Coloring a Comic Book Page – Axiotron Modbook Apple Tablet PC
www.RayDillon.com http raydillon.blogspot.com This is a page from “Pono Loa” made by Stephen Smirl, drawn by my fiancé, Renae De Liz, and inked, colored, and lettered by me. I’ve done a quick time lapse video, because flatting can be pretty tedious, but I wanted to talk about some of my methods. First of all, I am inking and coloring in Photoshop CS with an Axiotron ModBook (that’s an Apple Tablet PC). Most of the time, I’m using the pen and paint bucket tools, but occasionally, you might see me selecting areas in the inks and they appear to fill instantly. I’m really hitting F1, which is coded to play an pre-recorded action. This is a fantastic time saver. It takes the selection I make, expands it, and fills it. The other vital thing to note is that I am saving my steps in the channels. Once I have the panels filled, I copy all and paste into a new channel. I repeat this with the figures and finally with all the details. That way, if I want to change the lightness or overall color of a figure or an entire panel, I can select it very easily. If you have any questions, let me know. I’ll soon be posting a video of color rendering on one of these pages, too. ASUS EEE PC T91MT Unboxing
ASUS’s second version of the T91, the T91MT continues to bind the gap between netbook and tablet pc. Weighing at just over 2 pounds the T91MT gives you the 8.9″ netbook form factor coupled with a multi-touch enabled touchscreen that can swivel 180′ and fold back, thus providing the convertible form factor for using as a tablet or regular netbook. Specs include: Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz CPU, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 32GB SSD, Intel GMA 500 graphics, 802.11b/g wifi, bluetooth 2.1, and Windows 7 Home Premium. THere are two things I don’t fancy about it: The Z520 CPU and the 0 price tag.
the video shows mainly -how- and -where- to place a SIM Card in a Lenovo X61 convertible tablet pc. In that case it is a Lenovo X61 with built-in 3G/HSDPA modem for mobile broadband connections that requires to place SIM card into the X61 to come on internet.

At AirTurn, we get a lot of requests from customers asking for our recommendations on Tablet PCs for reading digital sheet music. In this episode, Hugh Sung reviews one of the best tablet pcs he’s come across for this purpose: the Lenovo X200 ThinkPad Tablet PC. For musicians, there are a number of special considerations in reviewing a tablet pc or computer: fan noise, screen viewing in different concert and performance lighting conditions, aesthetics, USB and power plug placements, all of which can affect usage in a concert or performance setting quite differently from “regular” business usage. AirTurn produces a weekly video podcast series giving tips and tricks on music reading hardware and software for modern musicians.
